Squirrels!

So, no rat post today. Instead, cute squirrels!

J and I went to Portland to visit a friend and on the way back we stopped at a rest area we had never stopped at before. Pulling into parking place, we noticed there were tons of squirrels running around on the ground, laying in the grass and in general very comfortable with people.

We sat watching them for a minute, until another car pulled up alongside us. As we watched those people get out of the car they were bombarded with squirrels looking for a free handout. It was too cute!

I went to the concession stand and got some shelled peanuts to feed them. They proceeded to mob J and I, and it was great. They were so much fun. They acted so much like ratties. They were very playful, very competitive for the peanuts and did all sorts of cute acrobatics to get their treats. I got some good pictures, and thought I'd share them with you.

So, is anyone else totally excited to go see Ratatouille? I can't wait! Remy is too cute.

Observation

Tonight we played a brand new cd. "Grateful Dead" Greatest Hits. Awesome album.

And Rat liked it too.

She woke up, came out of her house and swayed/relaxed/bruxed with the music. When it stopped she look startled and went back inside her house. When it started again, she would come out and do the same thing again.

We're so proud of the rats we've raised. :)

PS- Halfie had a whale of an appetite tonight, so I don't think I'll have to be too worried for awhile. She demolished a spoonful of applesauce.

What A Girl Needs

A girl named Lynn, that is. So, in my perusing of the www this week I've been coming across this pretty fun little blogthing. You type your name followed by needs into any search engine and report the first 5 results. I got some skewed results, so you're getting a random, and funny, selection. Lynn needs only to read cue cards. (ah...if only life were truly this easy. I'd read cue cards anyday. Who needs free thought??)

Lynn needs to promote the successes that have been achieved. (Ok, this one's for you J. Rawwwrrrr. *wink wink*)

Lynn needs work with a better salary in the new year. (Well, duh. Who doesn't?)

Lynn needs a blog. (Hmmm....I seem to already have one...no, two...of those. Must be talking about Ratty ;) )

Lynn needs about 2-3 hours a day to use the Internet as her business requires. (Hell yeah! These results must be psychic, huh? Only, it's more like 8-9 hours, 'cause I'm a workaholic and all that. Ha!)
