Betty Crocker

is going broke this Christmas! hahahahaha

*recovering* Ok, actually, I'm making loads of old-fashioned cookies from scratch. No mixes or pre-made cookie dough over here.

I'm actually really excited about this. I love Christmas, and I love Christmas cookies. So this afternoon I'm gonna pick my sis up and we're going to spend the whole evening making "rich cookies" (which taste like eggnog to me), REAL chocolate cookies (mmmmm), "cin-kites" (cinnamony-sugary goodness) and chrusciki (traditional christmas polish cookies- my hubby is polish) and real homemade icing. Yum!

Can you imagine how nice it's going to be? Warm and toasty in the house, the smell of different cookies baking, cookies in various stages around the house waiting to be decorated, go on platters or be taste tested by J, the windows all steamy, Christmas carols playing, Christmas lights and tree lit up and everyone talking and having a good time.

I simply can't wait. But first, I must conquer the laundry.

What are your holiday plans for this evening/week?

Sushi....Is Good!

Tonight the hubby and I went out for sushi. It was faaabulous! We've found a lovely little new restaurant that we've been frequenting. A wonderful night of nagiri freshwater eel, octopus and crab. YUM! We tried a sunset roll. It has all the amazing stuff I love, including crab, eel, avacado, and asparagus. The philadelphia rolls were wonderful. Such a good night. And a very talented sushi chef. Hooray for Sushi Hama!

My little rescue ratties are finally starting to explore the bed. They are having the time of their lives taunting Rat, who is super territorial. As they sniff around her cage, she works herself up trying to tell them to "scram!" She's the fattest rat we have, and I'm afraid all this excitement is going to give her a rat- heartattack.

So ends my day. A wonderfully lazy Saturday. Hubby got a haircut...Ooh la la! He is so hot! I'm so glad I married him.

I guess I'll get back to browsing Ebay. I love to browse.

Till Tomorrow...
