Workin' Hard...

or hardly workin'?

I vote for number 2. Times like this I could appreciate a regular job. I mean, I'm always at work and I'm responsible if *someone* isn't happy. It's no big deal most of the time but lately it's been *BAM* *BAM* *BAM*.

The rats totally agree.

Sleeping is so not overrated

Busy Wednesday

Business has been slow...sporadic and slow. :(

Then yesterday...BAM!

Orders have been coming in so fast it's making my head spin.

But it means money, which is always a good thing. :)

And now...A new pic from the archives.

Cleo cuddling with dad and none too happy that I'm bothering her by taking a picture.

Monday Musings

Well it's Monday. Yep. Monday.

I have a ton of work to do...My plate is very full. I don't want to do any of it. I've spent the morning reading stuff online, and I ordered some samples of body butter. Can't wait to try it out!

I'm also researching formulas and recipes for bath bombs, soaps, lotion bars, body butters, and other lovely bath products. Oh, and lip glosses too! Can't wait to get those going.

I'm trying to force myself to work...but I think I'll have lunch first. *smirk*

Coda's lump is soooo huge! I feel so bad that I moved her appointment, but she doesn't seem bothered. I cannot wait to get that nasty thing off of her little bod. Poor little girl. Although, I suspect she neither notices nor cares. It's all about me.

Hope your Monday is up to snuff. I've gotta update my links...You know...:)

Ebay

buyers are ridiculous. Grrrrr....

I had 2 auctions end on Monday. There is a 48 hour pay period. I've never had any trouble before, but these two losers haven't paid yet. At the 45th hour after pay was due, I sent invoices.

Still nothing. I'm giving them another 48 hours, and then I'm leaving negative feedback. I don't want to, but I will if they insist on abusing the system. My terms are clear and have never been a problem before. Why now?

They got the items at 50% off retail. I don't see the difficulty in paying for what you bought. Of course, I pay as soon as I've won.

I don't think I'll be listing any more on Ebay. It's too much hassle, and my prices have to be way too low for the auctions to get bid on.

My hubby is gone all day today for any interview in WA. He had to be at the airport at 5 am, and won't be home until after 10 pm. I miss him. :(

So, if you or anyone you know wants to buy mineral makeup, just go directly to the website. The prices are marked down for our grand opening, and it's a real deal even with the regular prices.

Have a good Thurs.

Oh yeah, we've moved Coda's surgery back a week because of all the stupid travel involved with going to see my sister's play. Ugh. 8- 9 hour round trip, 500 miles to see a 2 1/2 hour play. Plus we have to stay over. Sheesh. And we won't get to see her, because the cast party is the night we're going, so she's going straight to the party after the show (as is the custom), and doesn't want to get up early (ie before 11 or noon) on Sunday. I'm not hanging around after 11 (that's when our hotel key has to be turned in), so I doubt we'll see her. Sometimes, doing things 'cause "you're family" sucks.

Oh well.

So Pumped!

Today is a very, very good day. Why? Because I made my first sale from someone who just ran across my website. Not ebay, not word of mouth, just impluse. I feel awesome. I've only had all the sales pages up since last Monday, so I feel really good about it.

In other news, the rats are in paradise. They are having sliced strawberries and vanilla yogurt. Happy ratties. :)

I've got to run to the post office and then return a shirt. I hope you guys are having as awesome as a day as I am. (Well, I know Ratty is...what with being off work and all.)

If I get some cute rattie pics, I'll post them later.

I'm Baaaaack!

I have now returned from hence I went. Or something.

Actually, I've been back for quite a while, but after being lazy, the computer ate my new post. arg

So, here I am to do it again.

Disneyland was wonderful. A truly "magical" vacation. It must have been pure magic, considering:

*My legs didn't fall off from all the walking, standing, leaning, walking.
*I didn't contract some weird food virus from amusement park eateries.
*My husband didn't die from the child-eboli he contracted.
*None of us got "pink eye"! Yea!
*I didn't pass out from the lack of sleep (hotel beds of steel, and all).
*No one puked on us, even though we saw a guy with a mop cleaning a ride.
*We didn't get lost or robbed. I'm sure we looked the part of tourists.
*We didn't die from Disneyland withdrawl.
~We have a theory...on the way home we all had a terrible headache...We think it may be something Disney pumps into their air, that causes great amounts of pain upon departure.
*We didn't go broke after eating $20 sandwiches.
*We didn't light anyone on fire. (Too many kids, dumb people and annoyance in a very, itty- bitty, teeny- weeny space.)
*We remembered to take pictures. Now, hopefully, they'll mostly be recognizeable. ha ha

I'll write more as I remember them. *sigh It's good to be home. Sorta. I have a ton of work to do.

Now, for the really big news!! (exclaims Lynn) Ok, ok, it really isn't that big at all. I'll tell you now. Nope, I'm not going to keep you in suspense. In fact, so you don't have to wonder, I'm about to say it. That's right. In just a few minutes, you will be the proud owner of this valuable information. Ready? Here goes...

I'm starting my own cosmetics business.

There, I said it. Well, kinda. Hey, the laughing hurts my feelings! :) No, really. I've decided to start my own mineral cosmetics and skin care company. Hooray for me. I've got a cute name too. "Beauty Bliss Mineral Cosmetics". I like it.

Now, where you come in. Yes, I will be selling it on my site, but not for awhile. Soooo....sign up for the newsletter for great PRE-LAUNCH specials and giveaways. Also, I'll continue selling Avon and Mark. Two wonderful lines of cosmetics and skin care. I mean, what if minerals just ain't yo style? Now, you have....

Selection. Value. Price. Personal Service.

Finally, my last bit. I have signed up for NaNoWriMo. If you haven't heard of this, come out from under yo' rock. Seriously, it's a great thing to be involved in. It runs Nov. 1 to Nov. 30. The goal is to write 50,000 words of a novel. (Keep in mind most novels have 100,000 words.) It's unlikely you'll finish your novel, but it's an exercise to get you up and writing. I think it's a great idea. Check out www.nanowrimo.org for more information.

I started my mystery novel back in July, but I never finished it. This will be the kick in my pants to get me going. I'll post what I write here each day (maybe). I'll try. I might be too embarrassed. Oh well. Try it. See what you think of it. It will help you to build character! *sigh Well, I tried.

Y'know, on a side note, I've been married for over a year. (and I just figured that out all by myself!) ha ha Anyway, it's weird. I get to spend every day with the most incredible man in the world. How can I tell him how much he means to me. Last night I cuddled up next to him in bed, and told him so. I think he snored a response. It's just so cool that I still get butterflies when I see him. Ah, bliss.

Ok, I've rambled enough for today. I have a lot of stuff to get done. ugh. Life is rough. :)

And Still, I don't know.

Well kids, here's how the cookie has crumbled into my lap.

Here's the dilemma. Do I continue with Mary Kay with the 50% commissions, or go to Avon with less commission? I love Avon and Mark. Love, LOve, LOVE it! What can I say? I like buying makeup. Lots. And boy! Do they have a selection!

Anyway, I'm seriously thinking about switching. Eh- I'll sleep on it.

In other news, the rats are being adorable. We have 2 little "rescue rats" that were neglected and abandoned. Man, you should have seen them two months ago! Little skinny tails, little thin bodies. They didn't like people or even yogies (the rat treat of choice). It was so sad. Now I watch them, and they're curious, they want to come out and play, and they love treats!

Yay for the little rats!
