I am looking for input from owners who have had bucks, and specifically bucks with a problem. A "buck grease" problem.
I have only had does, so I'm not much help to a friend of mine who is struggling with this problem. She has been having a hard time keeping her rat clean and grease free, without irritating his skin.
So, I figured I would ask my knowledgeable little community what their ideas are.
What do you recommend or have found does/doesn't work in the past?

Taxes...
I know, I know. Taxes are sooo not exciting. But today was. We took our taxes in to the accountant, and got a nice surprise. We're getting a wonderfully hefty refund from Unca Sam. Yea Us!
And I got to eat lunch out with my husband, which was a wonderful treat. Sometimes there's too much time between the weekends. I love spending time with him, so it was great fun.
Also, I got a great pic of Cleo in the bath a la Ratty, so I'll post that soon. Coda pulled a Scabbers and clung tightly to me. As soon as her bum hit the water, she was out. Cleo's bad eyesight may be to blame for her inability to get out. She didn't exactly enjoy the bath, but she couldn't figure out how to get out. I put my hand next to her, and she stuck to it like velcro.
But they smelled sooo good and looked so pretty and felt so soft afterwards. I know they hate it, but it works wonders on their pee-stained fur.
Not much else going on. J has left for the day, and I'm home alone. (Not always a bad thing.)
Getting prepared mentally for my CT scan next Tues. I'm scared to death of the "prep" they make you drink the day before. It's to flush out your system. Which means, "drawing a face on the bottom of the toilet to keep me company". Urgh.
But enough gloom and doom. I'll post that pic as soon as I have time to upload it. I still can't find a good one of me- I may just take one to post. Ya'll don't mind if I look a little scraggy about the edges, do you? LOL
I'll get going, so you can also get back to your day. Take it easy...

Wet N Wild
Well, we tried Ratty's bathing suggestion tonight. Hmmm...I would venture to say that it was not successful. :) I'm scratched up, and the rats are thoroughly irritated. Even though they got treats, Rat Rat will have nothing to do with me. This...from the rats who love to get in the tabletop fountain and fish the rocks out and hide them around the bed. Nutters.
So, we tried all 5 rats, and all 5 gingerly walked around in the water for about 1 second before the highest recorded jumps of all time were made onto my shoulders.
Half Rat was the best. She KNEW what was coming. She clung to my wrist and hand and would not let go. Seriously. I pried her off, and before I could pull my hand away, she was velcroed to it. A very unhappy rat.
So, that's the story. Back to the washcloth bathing that the girls, I guess, know and love. G'night.
Can't see it too well, but there are at least 5 perfect foot scratches from 5 very unhappy, soggy rats.

Tried the "Rat Bath" with the lil' girls first. It did not work...they jumped straight from the tub onto my shoulders. (Note soaking- wet shirt)
